Johnnie kicks off his national tour with a week stopover in Woolgoolga (near Coffs Harbour, New South Wales) to begin recording album #2.

There's not too many venues in Woolgoolga... so the Seaview Tavern it is!

3rd set - the crankin' one - will be with notorious local pyscho-surf rockers, Karl and Garth from Cletus.

Going back to his roots, Johnnie plays at one of his favorite Sydney's music venues, where he frequented both as a musician and a punter.

After 3 crackin' notorious underground sessions at 'Suzy's Shed' in Perth, Johnnie Mac is on the road again - chasing the sun in Australia's north west.

In the lead up to his Whaleshark festival shows, Johnnie takes the stage for 3 sets starting at 8.30pm.

Johnnie Mac plays at the Monkey Bar in the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort which is one of the world's premier natural dolphin sighting areas.

This exclusive outdoor performance is smack-bang on Dolphin Beach, famous for its kilometres of secluded crystal blue waters and pristine white-shell beaches.  Monkey Mia is a world heritage marine park and has attracted schools of wild dolphins to its tranquil shores every day for more than 40 years.

They say that dolphins are just the beginning...

Johnnie Mac now adds to the heritage of Monkey Mia with his own Aussie twist of poetic musical tales.

The Whaleshark Festival will be held over the weekend of May 27-29, in and around the town of Exmouth, Western Australia.

The giant whale shark, is a gentle creature of the ocean that still remains a source of food and is cruelly hunted in some countries. The Whaleshark Festival aims to create awareness of the extinction facing the whalesharks and educate the public on the value they add to our environment. Through the preservation and conservation of these creatures and the Ningaloo Reef marine park, we can all experience something so unique and ultimately "make a friend for life" .

Whale shark season is from April to July, following the mass spawning of coral, when the world's biggest species of fish congregate in the Ningaloo Marine Park which is recognised nationally and internationally as a "premier marine environment" and home to the world's most predictable, seasonal gathering of whale sharks.

Johnnie Mac plays the Sunday session at Hampton Harbour Boat and Sailing Club on the massive balcony.

Come join him for a cold bevy, barra & chips and listen to the new Johnnie Mac songs as the sun sets into the beautiful blue waters, behind an array of red earth islands and sail boats.

Friday Night : 7pm - 10pm

There were requests for encore after encore at Johnnie's Sunday Session here last week, so management invited him back to do what he does best.

Looks like we'll be having another evening of new Johnnie Mac tunes in glorious Dampier.

You can only imagine the size of Johnnie Mac's smile when the Happy Yess told him "you're not allowed to play cover songs here"!

Which means that Johnnie finally gets full license to play his own original music all night long.

This is an excellent little bar, with a great listening audience and a fantastic atmoshphere!
